Kay Dee is an entrepreneur and the owner of Aventive Studio, a branding agency, and MELD Coworking, a shared office space in Central Austin.

As the CEO and Brand Strategist of Aventive Studio, Kay helps businesses grow through strategic brand development. Her passion for brand strategy stems from her career as a graphic designer where she helped businesses capture and retain consumer attention through their visual identities.

Kay was a speaker for The Freelance Conference 2018 at Austin’s Microsoft Headquarters, she has been featured in acclaimed Designer Interviews, and she was named 2018 Entrepreneur of the Year by the Austin Business Owners Networking Group.

As a former freelance designer working alone from home (well, alone except for two attention-consuming cats!), she recognized the need for entrepreneurs to work and collaborate with like-minded individuals. Out of this need, she launched the local entrepreneur-centric MELD Coworking in Central Austin.

Prior to discovering Austin, she freelanced with stops in London, Ocean City, Las Vegas and Denver. Along the way she worked at and managed a variety of printing companies. She started her career trajectory when she moved away from home at just 15 years old to specialize in design, later graduating from the Academy of Arts Novi Sad (Serbia) with a degree in Visual Communications.
